Uurainen, with less than 3,800 inhabitants, is a small rural village in the Jyväskylä region that has grown strongly for many years. In the 2010s, no village schools have been closed in Uurainen. In the village of Kangashäkki in 2017, new school was completed, which has already been expanded in 2019.
